Education Support Trainee - Certificate III

About the role

Westvic Staffing Solutions, in partnership with Timboon P-12 School, is offering an Education Support Traineeship starting in Term One 2027. The trainee completes a Certificate III in School Based Education Support (CHC30221) while working alongside teaching staff in a classroom environment. The role suits current Year 12 students, school leavers and gap year students.

Key responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with daily activities, group work and student learning
• Prepare classroom materials and set up learning activities
• Monitor and supervise students during lessons, play periods and outdoor activities
• Follow school policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
• Answer general enquiries from students, parents and staff and help run school activities and sporting programs
• Organise and maintain sports equipment and attend meetings, training and excursions, including overnight school camps
• Complete the Certificate III in School Based Education Support

Required profile

• Genuine interest in education support and working with children; previous experience not required, full training provided
• Reliable, punctual and committed to finishing the traineeship
• Good communication and teamwork skills, willing to learn and accept feedback
• Commitment to workplace health and safety

Required skills

• Working with Children Check (employee)
• Police check
• First Aid certificate
• Victorian driver licence
