Education Assistant – Mainstream (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role
The school is building a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants to support its diverse student body from Kindergarten to Year 10. Assistants help deliver planned educational programs, maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, and contribute to the wellbeing of each student.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain classroom resources and learning spaces.
- Implement individual or small‑group programs under teacher direction.
- Support students' health, wellbeing, and emotional needs.
- Manage student behaviour in line with school policies.
- Promote an inclusive environment that meets health and safety standards.
Required profile
- Organised and able to work proactively.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Team‑oriented with the ability to collaborate with teachers and staff.
- Commitment to supporting the holistic development of students.
Required skills
- Experience with MiniLit literacy program (preferred).
- Experience with MacqLit literacy program (preferred).
