Early Years Teacher (R-2)

About the role

Xavier College is inviting applications from a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher (R-2) to join the founding staff of its brand new Riverlea Park (R-6) campus, which opens in January 2027. This is a full-time, permanent position with the chance to help build the college community from the start and shape its culture and learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with leaders, colleagues and parents/caregivers to facilitate positive learning and engage in educational reform
• Design, plan and deliver high-quality teaching aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards
• Tailor teaching approaches to the unique needs and learning styles of students
• Build and maintain supportive professional relationships with staff, students and families

Required profile

• A passionate educator who engages students through practical and meaningful learning
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning
• Commitment to fostering student curiosity and participation
• Experience or qualifications in Agriculture, Health and Physical Education and Visual Arts are highly regarded
• Strong alignment with the values and Catholic ethos of the College
