Early Childhood Teacher

About the role

BFS Children's Services is looking for an Early Childhood Teacher for its Koonawarra Community Preschool, which cares for up to 46 children aged 0-5 across three rooms (0-2, 2-3 and 3-5 years). The preschool has a large landscaped backyard and indoor spaces for children to explore. The role is permanent and part-time, with 24 hours per week split as follows: Week 1, Wednesday and Thursday-Friday at 8 hours each; Week 2, Thursday and Friday at 8 hours each.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality education and care to all children
• Contribute to planning educational programs that support each child's learning and meet their goals
• Build strong relationships with children, families and the community

Required profile

• A cleared valid for paid work, NSW Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
• A cleared National Criminal Record Check
• Demonstrated commitment to protecting children from abuse, harm and neglect
• Demonstrated commitment to cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families
• Evidence of completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course
• References from a minimum of two referees, one of whom must be a manager or supervisor at your current or most recent workplace
