Early Childhood Teacher

About the role

Mayfield Early Education Gordonvale is looking for a full-time Early Childhood Teacher to join its team and positively influence the lives of young children. The role suits someone who has a passion for working with children, a dedication to their growth and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate, engaging programs and curriculum tailored to each child's needs and interests
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive environment where children feel secure and encouraged to explore and learn
• Maintain open communication with parents, giving regular updates on progress and addressing concerns
• Collaborate with a team of educators to build a cohesive learning environment
• Assess children's development continuously, keep accurate records and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Stay up to date with best practices through ongoing learning and professional development

Required profile

• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or an ACECQA-approved equivalent
• Valid Queensland teacher registration
• Proven experience with EYLF, NQF and Child Safe Standards
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Track record of creating a positive, engaging learning environment
