Early Childhood Educator – Cairns Region

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our Goodstart centres across the Cairns and Far North Queensland region. In this full‑time permanent position you will help deliver high‑quality long day‑care, kindergarten and preschool programs, ensuring every child gets the best start in life.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate age‑appropriate learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for children, families and staff.
• Collaborate with centre teams to continuously improve educational programs and share best practices.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Support reflective practice and ongoing professional development within the centre.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in an early years setting.
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Enthusiasm for fostering inclusive learning experiences.

Required skills

• Ability to design and deliver curriculum that meets EYLF outcomes.
• Proficiency in maintaining documentation and records required by regulatory bodies.
