Drainage Engineer – Transport Infrastructure

About the role

Join WSP’s Bridges, Aviation and Roads team in Perth to design smarter, safer and more sustainable drainage systems for transport infrastructure. You will work on high‑profile projects ranging from highways to airports, collaborating with industry‑leading engineers in a digitally enabled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design innovative drainage systems for civil infrastructure projects.
• Lead and coordinate design elements to meet project goals and client expectations.
• Partner with discipline leads on large‑scale projects and take ownership of deliverables.
• Produce high‑quality design reports, 3D models and drawing packages.
• Contribute to the development of automated tools and workflows that improve design efficiency.

Required profile

• A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• 3–15 years of experience in drainage design, preferably for transport infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Austroads, Main Roads WA, PTA and rail drainage standards.
• Hands‑on experience with stormwater and drainage design (open channels, culverts, pit and piped systems).
• Chartership (or working towards it) is highly regarded.
