Domestic Assistant

About the role

Join Southern Cross Care WA as a Domestic Assistant and help our home‑care clients maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment. You will travel between client homes across Perth, supporting older Australians to stay independent for as long as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Perform domestic duties in line with each client’s Care Plan.
• Provide feedback to Client Care Coordinators about any changes in client behaviour or needs.
• Maintain a pleasant, professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.
• Ensure client satisfaction with the services delivered.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Participate in Support Worker and Domestic Assistant meetings.

Required profile

• Genuine connection with older people and a desire to deliver friendly, high‑quality service.
• Respect for client privacy and ability to follow established processes.
• Motivation to go above and beyond for clients, even without prior aged‑care experience.

Required skills

• Experience assisting with domestic duties.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and apps.
• Own reliable motor vehicle and a valid WA driver’s licence.
• Confidence driving on Australian roads, including peak‑hour traffic.
