Domestic Assistant – Cairns

About the role

Join Regis as a Domestic Assistant in Cairns, providing essential home‑based support to older Australians. You will help clients live comfortably and independently by delivering everyday domestic assistance with care and respect.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, tidying, and organising tasks to maintain safe and comfortable homes.
• Assist with basic household chores such as laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
• Travel between client residences, with travel expenses covered.
• Build positive relationships with clients, supporting their wellbeing and independence.
• Work independently, following care plans and instructions.

Required profile

• Experience in community or aged‑care settings (desirable).
• A caring, respectful and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills and confidence building client relationships.
• Practical, hands‑on approach to household tasks.
• Reliable, proactive and able to follow instructions.
• Current full driver’s licence with a registered and insured vehicle.
