Domain Architect – AI

About the role

As a Domain Architect – AI you will shape the future of artificial intelligence across Zurich Australia and New Zealand, defining architecture, capabilities and roadmaps that enable safe, responsible and scalable AI solutions. You will work within the Technology team to turn emerging AI capabilities into practical business value while upholding strong governance, security and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve AI capabilities, including generative and agentic AI, at scale.
• Develop architecture roadmaps and target‑state designs for AI platforms.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams integrating AI into business solutions.
• Evaluate, select and govern AI technologies to support innovation and outcomes.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Drive best practices across AI architecture, security, data privacy, compliance and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Significant experience in architecture roles delivering target states, roadmaps and solution designs.
• Proven experience designing and delivering AI and machine‑learning solutions into production environments.
• Strong knowledge of AI non‑functional requirements such as scalability, resilience and governance.
• Hands‑on experience guiding engineers to deliver solutions aligned with architectural intent.
