Document Controller – Project Services (Brisbane)

About the role

The Document Controller will join Aurecon's Project Services team in Brisbane, providing dedicated document control support for a major long‑term APLNG EPS programme. You will ensure accurate handling of document numbers, transmittals, submittals and client information throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support the APLNG EPS programme from day one, managing document number requests and transmittals.
• Quality‑check documents, design reviews, revisions, titles and metadata across project systems.
• Assist project users with document control processes and client platforms.
• Collaborate with project teams, client stakeholders and the Project Services Hub to maintain workflow during peak periods.
• Help shape and improve best‑practice processes as the programme scales.

Required profile

• Document control experience in an engineering, energy, oil & gas, infrastructure or major project environment.
• Strong attention to detail with confidence handling document numbers, revisions and metadata.
• Ability to stay organised and effective under pressure, with solid time‑management skills.
• Collaborative, team‑first attitude and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Professional communication skills, including the confidence to challenge timelines when needed.

Required skills

• Experience with document management systems, preferably InEight.
