Dispute Resolution Specialist

About the role

This position offers a dynamic opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to lead end‑to‑end dispute and complaint management for QBE’s General Insurance portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Internal Dispute Resolution, you will work across multiple QBE offices in a hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate responses to all customer complaints and disputes, ensuring fair outcomes.
• Investigate and analyse policies, legislation, and expert evidence to resolve issues.
• Identify systemic causes of dissatisfaction and contribute to corrective solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Offer subject‑matter expertise on the General Insurance Code of Practice and the Insurance Contracts Act.
• Ensure compliance with legal and organisational obligations when handling disputes.
• Recommend process, product, and service improvements to reduce recurrence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in dispute resolution within the insurance sector.
• Strong practical knowledge of general insurance principles.
• Solid understanding of risk, compliance, and relevant policy frameworks.
• Commitment to delivering gold‑standard service to customers and stakeholders.
• Solution‑focused mindset with excellent problem‑solving and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with internal and external parties.
