Dispute Resolution Lawyer

About the role

As a legal expert in the Dispute Resolution team, you will liaise with a range of stakeholders across different products and services. You will manage sensitive or escalated matters raised with AFCA, regulatory notices and investigations, fraud‑related issues, and formal litigated proceedings.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with stakeholders across various banking products and services.
• Manage sensitive or escalated matters raised with AFCA.
• Handle regulatory notices, investigations and fraud‑related issues.
• Oversee formal litigated proceedings.
• Provide advice on litigation, investigations, audit, breach reporting and incidents.

Required profile

• Up to 10 years’ post‑qualification experience in litigation, regulatory investigations or dispute resolution, preferably in private practice or a mix of private and in‑house roles.
• Experience advising within the banking industry on litigation, investigations, regulatory issues, audit, breach reporting and incidents.
• Strong ability to engage and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven capability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment with meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated risk‑management awareness and a commercial approach.
