Dispatch Supervisor

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dispatch Supervisor ensures that all orders are dispatched accurately, safely, and on time to meet customer and field‑team requirements. This hands‑on leadership position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑moving warehouse or distribution environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily dispatch operations, including order selection, truck loading, and workflow coordination.
• Lead and manage warehouse team members to achieve production targets and KPIs.
• Prepare labour and staffing plans, monitor labour hours, and support cost‑management initiatives.
• Ensure dispatch processes comply with Chain of Responsibility, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
• Conduct quality checks, daily site inspections, and manage rostering, payroll adjustments, overtime, and employee reporting.
• Coach, support, and manage team performance; investigate operational or customer issues and apply corrective actions.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Dispatch Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, or Team Leader.
• Experience leading medium to large warehouse teams (15+ employees preferred).
• Strong understanding of warehouse dispatch operations and workflow management.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and operational priorities.

Required skills

• Chain of Responsibility (CoR) training (desirable).
• OHS/Risk Management training (desirable).
• Experience with payroll or workforce management systems (desirable).
