Dispatch Officer

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Dispatch Officer to join our Courier operations team in Woodville, South Australia. You will optimise fleet productivity, allocate permanent and ad‑hoc runs, and maintain a strong customer focus across the metro and greater Adelaide area.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate permanent and ad‑hoc runs using a computerised dispatch system.
• Align vehicle and driver capacity with daily operational needs.
• Route deliveries and communicate run orders for key customers.
• Accept, book, and allocate jobs with accurate information.
• Monitor and communicate delays, issues, and service impacts promptly.
• Record driver hours, waiting times, and job adjustments daily.
• Support invoicing accuracy based on operational data.
• Ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.
• Assist with driver onboarding, including TED unit training.
• Contribute to safety, HSE reporting, and incident management.

Required profile

• Organised, reliable and able to work in a fast‑paced transport environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Effective communication with drivers, customers and internal teams.
• Customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with dispatch software or computerised dispatch systems.
