Dispatch Co-ordinator

About the role

A client, an industry leader supplying drilling components to customers across WA and internationally, is hiring a Dispatch Co-ordinator in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The role ensures smooth flow between the sales team, the production workshop and shipment schedules, so customers receive their orders in full and on time. It is a full-time permanent position with no direct reports, and suits applicants with an ownership mentality.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor sales orders, job boards and control panels so orders leave on time
• Set up the daily dispatch board
• Help process backed-up orders and assist the team with overflow work, including order processing, picking and packing
• Liaise with external partners and customers about upcoming deliveries
• Prepare service repair quotes and check off sales orders by customer
• Anticipate order delays and coordinate sales, production and delivery teams
• Track sub-contractor schedules and use a Kanban system for inventory control
• Handle basic reporting and follow-up, and contribute to continuous improvement

Required profile

• Background in dispatch, warehousing or logistics, ready for more responsibility
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management, with a keen eye for detail
• Proactive, adaptable and able to handle competing priorities
• Confident with computers and technology

What we offer

• $45-$50 per hour plus penalties and superannuation
• Monday to Friday full-time role with extra paid call-outs for out-of-hours customer pickups
• Penalty rates on all overtime
