About the role
Care Assure provides NDIS support to people living with a disability, aiming to maximise their independence and help them live the life of their choice. It is recruiting a Disability Support Worker in Adelaide, SA, described as casual/vacation. The role suits someone who wants to work with people with a disability, cares deeply about participants and has a good command of written and spoken English.
Required profile
- Certificate III in Disability Services, or equivalent to Community Services
- NDIS Workers Screening Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Driver's licence allowing driving in South Australia
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Medication certificate
- Manual handling training and certificate
- Right to work in Australia
- National Police Check within the last three years
Applicants should also be driven, emotionally intelligent and able to stay calm under pressure, with excellent communication and customer service skills. They must be able to work across a 24/7 roster, including passive and active sleepovers, and apply by sending a resume with a cover letter.
