Disability Support Worker – Community

About the role

The Community Support Worker provides person‑centred assistance to clients under the NDIS framework, helping them achieve greater independence and community participation. You will support individuals with disability and psychosocial needs in daily living activities and promote skill development.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany clients on social outings, shopping trips, and GP or specialist appointments.
• Assist with personal care tasks at home, including toileting, showering, and dressing.
• Perform light domestic duties, prepare meals, and support eating.
• Administer medication as required.
• Liaise with families, carers, and client representatives.

Required profile

• Commitment to person‑centred care and respect for client choices.
• Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and team members.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance (within 12 months).
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and Working With Children Check (WA).
• Proof of working rights (passport or visa).
• Previous experience in health/disability support or a relevant Cert III (desirable but not essential).
