Director / Senior Director – Corporate Communications

About the role

Patterson Advisory is seeking an experienced Director or Senior Director to lead communications for a portfolio of high‑profile, ASX‑listed clients. You will work directly with senior executives, boards and key external stakeholders, providing strategic counsel in fast‑moving, high‑stakes environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead crisis and issues management engagements for major corporate clients.
• Develop and execute investor and stakeholder communication strategies.
• Advise on transaction and capital‑markets communication activities.
• Shape reputation, policy and media strategies across government, regulators, investors and the public.
• Manage workstreams, ensure high‑impact advice, and oversee delivery of client deliverables.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, advisory, consulting, investment banking, law, media, or government/regulatory roles.
• Strong judgement and ability to operate in complex, high‑stakes situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with meticulous attention to detail.
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders across corporate, government and regulatory settings.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and to source and convert new business mandates.
