Director - Renewable Energy

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an experienced leader to head its Renewable Energy advisory practice in Australia. The Director will shape the nation’s energy transition by driving growth, influencing major investment decisions, and building a market‑leading capability within a respected design and engineering firm.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies across generation, storage and energy‑transition programs.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and lead pursuit of high‑value, nationally significant projects.
• Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with developers, investors, utilities and government agencies.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on complex investment, planning and delivery challenges.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for large‑scale energy projects.
• Mentor emerging leaders, foster capability development and promote a culture of collaboration and commercial excellence.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in renewable energy, storage or transmission sectors.
• Strong track record of winning and delivering large, strategic projects.
• Demonstrated ability to build long‑term client partnerships and influence national energy outcomes.
• Excellent strategic thinking, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
