Director, Region Sales

About the role

The Director, Region Sales will lead adidas' sales organisation across Australia, driving profitable market‑share growth and strengthening the brand’s presence with key retail partners and distributors. This senior leadership position combines strategic planning, commercial execution and team development to ensure long‑term success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic retail partnerships across Australia, creating short‑, mid‑ and long‑term growth plans for major partners such as The Athlete’s Foot.
• Define and execute the wholesale (B2B) sales strategy, delivering strong commercial performance and brand expansion.
• Manage distributor relationships to achieve sales targets and consistent brand representation.
• Develop growth strategies for the Region and Running Specialty channels aligned with Pacific and emerging market priorities.
• Build, coach and lead a high‑performing sales team to consistently meet results.
• Support and lead commercial negotiations, ensuring clear and effective trade terms.
• Oversee performance drivers including sales to customers, sell‑out to consumers, product availability, inventory health and profitability.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in business or marketing.
• At least 10 years of sales experience in a large organisation, ideally within apparel, footwear, fashion or consumer goods.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams and managing operations.
• Exposure to sport, marketing or supply‑chain functions is a plus.
