Director – Legal Services (Infrastructure Projects)

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑savvy legal leader to head the Legal Services team supporting Queensland’s 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games infrastructure programme. Based in the vibrant 1 William Street precinct, you will provide strategic legal guidance on high‑profile, state‑significant projects.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior executives and project leaders to deliver pragmatic, solution‑focused legal advice on fast‑moving, complex matters.
• Lead the provision of advice across commercial, property, funding and major‑project delivery issues for the Games Infrastructure division and the Gabba Entertainment and Housing Precinct.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners across government.
• Shape legal strategy for infrastructure projects that will impact Queensland for generations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in major‑project legal work, preferably within government or large‑scale infrastructure.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to cut through complexity.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior decision‑makers.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
