Director – Defence & Major Programs

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Director to lead its Defence and Major Programs practice within the Infrastructure & Industrials team. You will operate at a senior strategic level, advising Australia’s Defence and Commonwealth clients on complex property transactions, portfolio strategies, and precinct‑scale developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑stakes advisory engagements for Defence and Commonwealth property assets.
• Provide expert guidance on Commonwealth frameworks such as the Property Disposals Policy and the Lands Acquisition Act 1989.
• Drive business development initiatives and cultivate senior government relationships.
• Mentor and manage a high‑performing team to deliver exceptional insight on complex real‑estate challenges.

Required profile

• Established leader with senior experience in property advisory, transaction management, or development.
• Background in real estate, valuations, precinct development, town planning, or engineering.
• Deep understanding of Defence and/or Commonwealth property environments and relevant legislation.
• Proven track record in business development, senior stakeholder management, and team leadership.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and Australian citizenship.
