Digital Strategist

About the role

An established, award-winning independent digital marketing agency is recruiting a Digital Strategist. The agency focuses on organic growth, SEO, Digital PR and content marketing, and works with a diverse portfolio of clients. The role takes ownership of campaigns from initial strategy and ideation through to execution, and offers exposure to emerging areas such as GEO and AI-driven search.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver integrated Digital PR, SEO and media outreach strategies across a range of clients
• Build relationships with journalists, publishers and media outlets, identify newsworthy opportunities and secure relevant coverage
• Contribute to broader organic growth strategies alongside SEO, content and wider digital teams
• Monitor campaign performance, analyse results and provide strategic recommendations
• Explore emerging areas such as Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and AI-driven search

Required profile

• Previous experience in Digital PR, SEO, media outreach, content marketing or a similar digital marketing role
• Good understanding of how Digital PR, backlinks, content and outreach support SEO performance
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals: organic visibility, search rankings, link building and domain authority
• Creative and analytical mindset, with excellent communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and clients

Required skills

• Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz or similar platforms is beneficial
