DevOps Engineer

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a critical cyber‑security initiative in a highly secure, mission‑focused environment. This 12‑month contract role will be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Canberra and offers the chance to work with modern cloud and automation technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management with Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash and PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, reliability and security through logging, alerting and incident response.
• Collaborate with software engineers, cloud specialists and stakeholders to troubleshoot and streamline delivery.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and supporting cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure services.
• Hands‑on experience with IaC and configuration‑management tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Track record building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience operating container workloads (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Good understanding of networking, systems engineering, security principles and cloud service models.
• Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance or ability to obtain it.
