DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation (Perth)

About the role

We are a fast‑growing technology company at the intersection of finance and software, building modern platforms that help people manage their financial lives. As a DevOps Engineer you will join a collaborative, distributed engineering team and help shape a scalable, cloud‑native environment while driving automation and AI‑assisted tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Support ongoing improvement, optimisation, and scaling of our AWS cloud environment.
• Introduce and champion AI‑driven tools to increase DevOps efficiency and delivery speed.
• Manage day‑to‑day infrastructure, deployments, and system reliability.
• Partner with software engineers to roll out new services and applications.
• Design and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Work effectively across time zones in an async‑first, distributed team.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Solid experience with containerised environments, particularly Docker.
• Proven ability to build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go).
• Good understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
• Comfortable communicating clearly in a distributed, asynchronous setting.
