DevOps AWS Engineer – Cloud Transformation (Australia)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps AWS Engineer to join a leading enterprise in the Energy & Utilities sector in Australia. The role will drive cloud transformation initiatives, focusing on automation, platform engineering, and continuous delivery of applications on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Create and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
• Deploy, operate, and optimise containerised workloads on Amazon EKS.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve cloud environments using CloudWatch and related tools.
• Support production deployments, BAU activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Proven experience in DevOps or cloud engineering, preferably within the Energy & Utilities domain.
• Relevant AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
• Familiarity with serverless and event‑driven architectures, Agile and DevSecOps practices.
