Despatch Coordinator

About the role

Join an award‑winning steel company recognised for sustainability and workplace excellence. Reporting to the Despatch Supervisor and based at the Mesh facility in Mayfield, you will coordinate loading schedules, prepare accurate documentation and ensure timely, efficient despatch of customer orders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and despatch all orders through SAP in line with delivery schedules.
• Allocate appropriate fleet to meet daily delivery requirements.
• Verify accurate loading and despatch of correct customer orders.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient order fulfilment.
• Maintain accurate freight records and prepare delivery documentation.
• Conduct load checks, audits and ensure compliance with load‑restraint requirements.

Required profile

• Experience or knowledge of the transport/heavy‑vehicle industry, including load compliance (highly desirable).
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and legislative requirements.
• Reliable, punctual, self‑motivated and able to work autonomously.
• Process‑driven with strong attention to detail and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office and SAP; willingness to learn load‑restraint and plant operation knowledge.
