Desktop Support Engineer (Onsite, 3-6 month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an Onsite Desktop Support Engineer to join LAB3’s Azure practice in Sydney on a 3‑to‑6‑month contract. You will be the primary point of contact for end‑users, delivering fast, hands‑on technical assistance to keep devices and services running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
• Configure, deploy, upgrade and decommission end‑user devices.
• Manage user accounts, access requests and identity services via Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Provision and maintain devices using Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM.
• Support Microsoft 365 technologies and resolve networking/connectivity issues.
• Maintain accurate asset records, documentation and contribute to knowledge articles.
• Follow ITIL‑aligned processes for service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in Desktop/EUC support.
• Strong background supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID administration.
• Device‑management experience using Microsoft Intune (SCCM a plus).
• Practical support experience with Microsoft 365.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and wireless networking.
• Familiarity with ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
