Design Manager - Utilities and Renewable Energy

About the role

CPP, a high-voltage infrastructure provider and member of Quanta Services, is seeking a Design Manager for its Adelaide office. The role brings together inputs from primary and secondary design, overhead lines, civil and structural disciplines so that designs are integrated, compliant, efficient and aligned with client and industry requirements. It acts as a central technical reference point, working with engineering management, design teams and external stakeholders on large-scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with subject matter experts across primary and secondary design, overhead lines, civil and structural disciplines
• Integrate design inputs into well-integrated, compliant and efficient designs
• Work with engineering management, design teams and external stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain consistency across disciplines
• Contribute to the delivery of complex, large-scale high-voltage infrastructure and renewable energy projects

Required profile

• Degree in electrical engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer status
• Significant experience in high voltage engineering design within utilities or renewables
• Track record on large, multi-discipline projects
• Strong understanding of transmission grid projects and renewable energy connection requirements
• Exceptional communication and time management skills
