Design Engineer – Mechanical Design

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join Bosch Rexroth’s Malaga team. You will take engineering projects from concept through detailed design, delivering accurate drawings, bills of materials and documentation for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Create concept and detailed designs using CAD packages.
• Prepare engineering drawings, bills of materials and project documentation based on sketches, specifications and customer requirements.
• Review customer, company and supplier drawings, ensuring compliance with Australian and international standards and quality processes.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, production and customers to develop manufacturable solutions and resolve design issues.
• Identify and implement improvements to design processes, manufacturing efficiency, quality and safety.

Required profile

• Certificate IV or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum five years’ experience in an engineering design and production environment.
• Proven ability to produce concept and detailed designs, engineering drawings and bills of materials.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor (Autodesk Vault) or CREO/Windchill.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering standards.
• Experience with SAP MM and SAP PP.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
