Deputy CISO / Head of Identity

About the role

This senior position sits on the cyber security leadership team of a major financial services organisation. The role is responsible for shaping and executing the Identity Access Management (IAM) strategy across people, systems and AI agents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the IAM function across operations, transformation and product delivery.
• Act as chief product owner, defining IAM strategy, roadmap and delivery priorities.
• Drive automation, improve customer experience and enhance risk outcomes.
• Manage product owners and cross‑functional teams to deliver IAM solutions.
• Oversee risk, controls, policy and regulatory alignment for identity services.
• Partner with senior business, technology and operations stakeholders.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, OKRs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior technology or cyber product leadership experience.
• Strong exposure to IAM, privileged access management (PAM) and authentication.
• Background in financial services or large enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to build strategy and lead transformation programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
• Customer‑focused, risk‑aware and commercially practical mindset.
