Dental Practice Manager

About the role

A busy, patient-focused dental practice in Cairns, Queensland is looking for an experienced Practice Manager or strong team leader to run its day-to-day operations. The manager drives performance, improves patient experience and leads a high-performing team, with a stated salary of $80k-$85k plus super.

Key responsibilities

• Patient experience: deliver excellent service across all touchpoints, manage feedback, enquiries and complaints, and drive initiatives for higher satisfaction and retention
• Team leadership: lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, handle recruitment, onboarding and performance reviews, oversee rosters, leave and workforce planning
• Financial performance: manage budgets, costs and revenue targets, monitor KPIs, oversee billing, receivables and financial processes, and analyse performance metrics
• Operations and compliance: keep daily operations running smoothly, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and oversee stock control, equipment maintenance, facility management, infection control and workplace safety

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Practice Manager or in a similar leadership role
• Strong financial management and business acumen
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Experience in healthcare or dental settings highly regarded

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with patient management systems
