Dental Coordinator

About the role

A busy dental centre in Beenleigh, Queensland is looking for an experienced and motivated Dental Coordinator to lead its day-to-day operations. The role supports dentists and staff, manages administrative and financial processes and delivers an outstanding patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, manage patient and dentist enquiries, monitor budgets, stock control and financial performance, and ensure accurate billing, health fund claiming and banking.
• Coordinate maintenance, equipment and supplier relationships, prepare monthly reports and run continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience, handle feedback and resolve issues, and promote a culture of quality care.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and WHS standards, support accreditation and quality assurance, assist dentists during procedures when required, and maintain compliance with regulations and SOPs.
• Lead, coach and support dental assistants and reception staff, manage rostering, oversee onboarding, training and performance management, and foster a collaborative team culture.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred) or a relevant business/management qualification.
• Previous experience in the dental industry.
• Strong background in customer service and team coordination.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and organisational and time management abilities.
• Financial acumen, including understanding of profit and loss.
• Leadership, coaching and team development capabilities; ability to manage conflict and build stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dental practice software.
