Dental Assistant – Part-Time

About the role

Bupa Dental Tea Tree Plaza is looking for a part-time Dental Assistant to join its 13-chair practice in Modbury, South Australia. The role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care and positive patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures
• Maintain infection control standards
• Ensure equipment is properly sterilised
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organised and ready for patient care

Required profile

• Previous experience is preferred; a Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly regarded, but all candidates with a genuine passion for dental assisting are welcome
• Thorough knowledge of infection control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume practice and contribute to a supportive team
• A Working with Children Check permit is required for successful candidates

Required skills

• Chair-side assistance: instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays
• Solid understanding of dental instrumentation
• Cleaning, preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, instruments and equipment in line with BDC procedures and WHS standards
