Dental Assistant

About the role

Central West Hospital and Health Service (CWHHS) is looking for a Dental Assistant to assist dental clinicians and students in providing patient treatment. The role covers the Central West Hospital and Health Service area and involves supporting dental treatment while carrying out other support duties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assistance to dental clinicians and students in the delivery of patient treatment
• Maintain instruments and equipment
• Sterilize instruments
• Order clinical consumables and manage stock control so that dental treatment is provided effectively and efficiently

Required profile

• Complete vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella and hepatitis B, and remain vaccinated during employment
• Submit a completed vaccine preventable disease form and evidence of immunity and vaccinations with the application
• Submit a CV with a signed and dated statement confirming it is a true and correct representation of work experience
• Provide a relevant, concise cover letter addressing the assessment criteria in the role description
• Complete the VPD paperwork as part of the application
