About the role

Join a fast‑growing SME in the distribution sector as a Demand Planner and Inventory Controller. You will own inventory transformation, drive AI‑led forecasting and make a high‑impact contribution to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to support procurement and supply chain operations.
• Monitor inventory levels, ensuring stock availability aligns with business needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise stock management processes.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to improve demand planning accuracy.
• Identify and address inventory discrepancies or shortages promptly.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory performance and demand forecasts.
• Support the procurement team in maintaining supplier relationships and order schedules.
• Implement strategies to minimise overstock and reduce waste.

Required profile

• Experience in demand planning and inventory management within the distribution industry.
• Proficiency in analysing data and using forecasting tools or software.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes.
• Problem‑solving skills to address inventory challenges efficiently.

What we offer

• Annual salary of AUD 110,000 plus super.
