Data Visualisation Lead - Power BI

About the role

Datium Insights is looking for a Data Visualisation Lead to strengthen its Power BI capabilities within the Business Intelligence unit. The role focuses on analytics, visualisations and data science, partnering with senior leadership and stakeholders to turn business challenges into Power BI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Power BI data visualisation and self-service capabilities that support strategic and operational goals.
• Work with senior leadership and key stakeholders to build Power BI visualisation solutions to their business challenges.
• Measure and improve adoption and user engagement of the Power BI portfolio.
• Set up and follow standards for the full Power BI lifecycle: requirements, prototyping, code development, asset management, versioning, documentation and maintenance.
• Champion standard methodologies for UI/UX, data quality, deployment and sustainable maintenance.
• Partner with data engineering, data science and other teams to embed Power BI in the company's data strategy.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the approach, toolset and implementation of visual analytics and reporting.
• Train, guide and educate colleagues and customers on Power BI capabilities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience building dashboards, visualisations, analytical reports and self-service tools.
• 4+ years of hands-on Power BI visualisation design and development.
• Proven track record of using analytics to drive data-driven decisions and influencing senior executives.
• Bachelor's degree or higher, ideally in Finance, Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced DAX and SQL skills.
• Connecting to many data sources via live connections and extracts.
• Familiarity with ETL, data transformation and data modelling.
• Desirable: R, Python or other statistical tools.
• Strong English communication, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
