About the role

Join Sportsbet’s Data Platforms team and help power the data ecosystem that fuels innovation across the business. As a Data Engineer within the Data, AI & Enabling Technology function, you will design, build and optimise scalable data solutions on modern cloud platforms, collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver high‑performing, reliable data products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms using cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with product and analytics teams to understand requirements and translate them into data‑driven solutions.
• Optimise performance, reliability and cost‑efficiency of data services.
• Own production systems, proactively resolve incidents and improve operational processes.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardisation and best‑practice adoption.

Required profile

• Passionate about data engineering and comfortable working in a fast‑moving, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong sense of ownership, curiosity and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Team‑oriented, adaptable and eager to explore emerging technologies, especially AI.

Required skills

• Experience designing and building data pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Ability to analyse requirements and deliver high‑quality data solutions.
• Knowledge of performance optimisation, reliability engineering and cost management for data services.
