Data Engineer – Cloud Data Platforms

About the role

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its Data & AI practice. You will design, build and optimise modern cloud data platforms on Microsoft Azure and Fabric, enabling clients to unlock value from data through analytics, reporting and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Python/PySpark.
• Build and maintain data platforms with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse and OneLake solutions.
• Implement data integration across cloud and on‑premises sources, ensuring data quality, governance and security.
• Monitor and optimise platform performance, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver data‑driven outcomes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing or cloud data platform development.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure services (Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Synapse, SQL, Databricks, DevOps).
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric components (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Power BI).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and/or PySpark for data transformation.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
