Cybersecurity & Privacy Associate Director

About the role

As a leader in Protiviti's Cybersecurity & Privacy team, you will elevate clients' security posture and build digital trust by driving comprehensive cybersecurity programs across identity management, threat detection, data protection, and operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tailored cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps aligned with client risk profiles and business objectives.
• Design and implement identity‑centric, zero‑trust architectures integrating IAM/PAM, SIEM/SOAR, DLP, EDR/XDR, and cloud‑native controls.
• Oversee integration and optimization of security platforms, advanced threat detection, and response operations, driving automation and orchestration.
• Align governance structures and controls with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI‑DSS, Essential 8, and relevant regulations.
• Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams, act as trusted advisor to CISOs and business leaders, and support go‑to‑market initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years leading security operations or technical teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCAK, CCSK, PMP, etc.) are desirable.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and drive strategic security initiatives.

• Framework expertise: NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI‑DSS, Essential 8, Zero Trust.
• Identity & Access Management tools: SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk.
• Security Operations platforms: Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, SIEM/SOAR solutions.
• Data protection technologies: DLP, Purview, Symantec.
• Cloud & endpoint security: EDR/XDR, CASB/SASE, CSPM on AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Automation & integration: APIs, scripting, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines.
