Cybersecurity Architect – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Melbourne)

About the role

Join a leading Australian IT firm as a Cybersecurity Architect on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will embed security into complex enterprise platforms, products and transformation initiatives, ensuring robust protection from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise security architecture across cloud (AWS, Azure) and on‑prem environments.
• Conduct threat modelling (e.g., STRIDE), security architecture reviews and risk assessments.
• Develop and deliver structured security methodologies, frameworks and governance models.
• Integrate security controls into DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Provide pragmatic, risk‑based security advice to architecture, engineering and business stakeholders.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Highly experienced cybersecurity professional with deep technical architecture expertise.
• Strong consulting and risk‑management capabilities.
