Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

Join a high‑impact cyber security program that supports critical national capability uplift within a complex Defence environment. You will help improve cyber situational awareness, security operations maturity, and defensive capability across essential government ICT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SOC uplift initiatives aligned with maturity objectives.
• Manage project delivery, milestones, and operational activities to achieve program outcomes.
• Coordinate migration and integration of SOC tooling to enhance monitoring, detection, and incident response.
• Collaborate with cyber operations teams, vendor SOCs, and internal stakeholders to align capability uplift activities.
• Provide specialist advice on cyber operations, threat visibility, and organisational integration strategies.
• Support governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across cyber and operational forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering cyber security or SOC uplift programs in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics, or cyber threat intelligence.
• Demonstrated program or project management capability within cyber, ICT, or Defence‑related settings.
• Experience coordinating technical integration across multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• Excellent communication and senior executive engagement skills.
• Current NV1 security clearance (minimum) with NV2 preferred; experience in secure or government environments highly regarded.
