Crane Coordinator / Supervisor - Defence Naval Project

About the role

ACCIONA is delivering enabling works for Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) at the Osborne Naval Shipyard in South Australia, supporting the future Submarine Construction Yard, one of Australia's largest defence projects. As Crane Coordinator/Supervisor you will own the safe, efficient and compliant coordination of all crane and lifting operations, coordinate lift plans through approval and implementation, fit crane work into schedules and work fronts, run daily pre-starts and toolbox talks, and lead and mentor your team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee crane operations, including lift planning and approvals
• Integrate crane activities safely into construction schedules and work fronts
• Lead daily pre-starts and toolbox talks on hazards and controls
• Maintain safe systems of work and support environmental and quality processes
• Deploy labour, plant and equipment efficiently within allocated work areas
• Monitor productivity and keep two-week look-ahead schedules to deliver on time
• Lead and mentor your team and ensure works follow approved work packs

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain Baseline Security Clearance (required due to Defence security requirements)
• Current Australian driver's licence and Construction White Card
• Relevant health and safety qualifications or certifications
• Experience supervising crane and lifting on major civil projects

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of lift planning and safe lifting practices
• Desirable: High Risk Work Licence (C0/C1) and CICA Lift Supervisor Course
