Cost Controller

About the role

The UGL Utilities team is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join its Transmission & Utilities division in Rivervale. You will be responsible for accurate cost management, reporting and forecasting across site‑based contracts, ensuring strong financial control and transparency throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate cost management, reporting and forecasting for site contracts.
• Maintain integrity and alignment across cost reporting and financial systems.
• Prepare and update project progress reports, forecasts and cash‑flow.
• Record month‑end project positions, including revenue, cost and margin.
• Review client invoicing, manage debt status and respond to invoice queries.
• Allocate payments and ensure compliance with contractual invoice terms.
• Produce daily workforce reporting.
• Support audits, cost estimates, budgets and management presentations.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years’ experience in project controls.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP.
• Experience using FSM is highly regarded.
• Sound knowledge of project cost control, forecasting and reporting processes.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy using Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills.
