Cook - Transitional Care Services

About the role

Pullman Adelaide, part of the Accor Group, partners with Amplar Health Home Hospital to run a Transition Care Service (TCS) in a hotel-based healthcare setting. As a Cook for TCS, you prepare and present meals that support the wellbeing and recovery of guests. The role reports directly to the Executive Chef and works closely with the culinary and stewarding teams. It is a part-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for TCS guests, keeping quality consistent and meeting dietary requirements.
• Manage kitchen tasks such as mise en place, plating, tray setup, stock control, waste management and food safety compliance.
• Present meals attractively and meet infection control standards.
• Work with kitchen and stewarding teams to deliver meals on time and in order.
• Communicate with the Food Services Coordinator about guest needs.
• Monitor TCS supplies and equipment, report issues and coordinate maintenance.
• Uphold Pullman Service Standards in every detail.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or currently working towards).
• Previous kitchen experience as a kitchen attendant or similar, at least 6 months (hospitality or healthcare preferred).
• Hands-on, calm and proactive, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ability to stay composed in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting.
