Cook - Aged Care

About the role

Aroha Services, a staffing and recruitment agency, is offering a casual Cook position in aged care. You will be offered shifts that let you build your skills and experience across different locations. The cook ensures that food safety standards, guidelines and regulations are met for food storage and handling, infection control and cleanliness in the kitchen and associated areas.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals for aged care facilities or residents
• Ensure food safety standards, guidelines and regulations are met for food storage and handling
• Maintain infection control and cleanliness in the kitchen and associated areas

Required profile

• Relevant experience preparing meals for aged care facilities or residents
• Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or a Diploma qualification
• Food Safety Certificate
• Knowledge of the Australian Standard for texture-modified foods and fluids
• Availability to work at least 2-3 shifts per week
• Full working rights in Australia and a National Police Clearance issued within the last 3 months
• Willingness to travel and work across various locations as needed
• Proof of Australian working rights (passport, visa or birth certificate)
• Health records showing Hepatitis B, influenza and full Covid-19 vaccination
