Contracts Manager

About the role

The Contracts Manager will be based in Darwin and will lead procurement and contract administration for the Darwin Civic Centre Project. You will ensure contractual obligations are met, financial risks are mitigated, and procurement strategies align with project goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full contract lifecycle from tendering to finalisation, including advice on terms, variations and claims.
• Oversee administration of head contracts and sub‑contracts, ensuring compliance and performance monitoring.
• Develop and implement contract management systems and procurement strategies aligned with budgets and timelines.
• Manage subcontractor procurement activities, tender documentation, evaluations, negotiations and contract awards.
• Lead cost control activities, review forecasts, cost plans and commercial performance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual, commercial and subcontractor‑related risks and resolve disputes.

Required profile

• Qualification in Construction, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ senior contracts management experience in construction.
• Extensive experience in contract negotiation, administration, procurement, risk management and cost control.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management and ability to deliver high‑value projects.
