Contracts Administrator

About the role

Abt Global Australia is seeking a Contracts Administrator to provide technical expertise supporting the Director – Contracts & Digital and the Contracts Manager. The role involves managing enterprise contracting activity, maintaining stakeholder relationships and ensuring compliance with legal and procurement standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director – Contracts & Digital and Contracts Manager in developing, implementing and improving a pragmatic contracting framework, including policies, processes, templates and data analytics.
• Provide technical advice and undertake contracting and procurement activities for complex, high‑value contracts such as consultant, subcontract, grant, supplier, property and other agreements, reviewing and approving within delegated authority.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant laws and client procurement rules and ensure compliance across contracting activities.
• Assist Business Growth teams with contracting aspects of new opportunities and support program delivery teams during mobilisations, operations and demobilisations.
• Coordinate director/shareholder approvals, statutory filings and registrations for international branches and subsidiaries, and manage entity establishment, maintenance and closure.
• Maintain company records and corporate information, and, where legally qualified, support provision of legal advice under supervision of senior legal counsel.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of relevant experience, including government contracting and procurement in the international development sector.
• Degree in law (Australian) or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships in cross‑cultural environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Proven capability to work autonomously and as part of a small, dynamic team, handling multiple complex tasks and shifting priorities.
