Contract Administrator

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Contract Administrator to join its Perth team, supporting a range of capital works programmes across aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. The role involves both subcontract formation and ongoing administration, ensuring contracts meet project requirements and are delivered efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Provide contract administration and management support to the Program Contracts Manager, including handling payments and variations.
• Prepare and review bid request packages and develop project contract operating procedures.
• Administer low‑ to medium‑value or low‑ to medium‑complexity contracts following award.
• Continuously monitor contract performance, forecast progress, and communicate any issues.
• Identify, mitigate and monitor risks, including potential disputes, and implement avoidance or resolution strategies.

Required profile

• Experience in contract or subcontract administration within construction, engineering or related sectors.
• Ability to review and prepare contract documentation and bid packages.
• Strong analytical skills for risk identification and financial forecasting.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external parties.
• Willingness to work onsite in Perth and collaborate within integrated project teams.
